SUMMARYOperates multi?purpose-sorting machine, running various types of mail to be sorted before going to Mail Extraction area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Maintains confidentiality of CDS Global and its clients' proprietary information.
- Pulls cages up and unloads mail trays onto shelves.
- Runs largest quantity first unless otherwise instructed, checks PO boxes to make sure they are all together.
- Loads mail into conveyor belt hopper, reads monitor and selects the correct run for the job being processed.
- Pulls mail out of bins, puts it into mail trays, and labels trays according to specified criteria.
- Places mail tray down at end of table for person to weigh.
- Weighs mail trays before going to Mail Extraction area.
- Cleans machine and makes minor repairs, reads monitor to determine where problem is and corrects it.
- Observes to see whether machine is sorting correctly, if not corrects the problem.
- Completes log sheet according to specific criteria.
- Prints, copies, and distributes production sheets to the appropriate people.
- Reacts to change and remain productive.
- Adheres to CDS Global attendance policies; reports to work station as directed by management.
- Follows all CDS Global ergonomic and safety policies.
The above duties may be performed anywhere from 0?100% of the workday.
(Employee needs to be able to work in designated department/area and participate, if applicable, in CDS Global's ergonomic stretching/strengthening exercise program.)
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Makes labels for mail trays.
- Weighs mail when needed.
- Meets with Opex Corporation Technician to go over any changes and informs others of any changes being made.
- Trains other employees on the essential functions of the job.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND LICENSING- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Typing/Computer skills preferred.
- CRT Training preferred.
- Average communication skills.
- Ability to analyze, monitor and find solutions to machine problems.
- Ability to compare documents with data on monitor.
- Average organizational skills.
Salary:
Base wage = $12.25/hour
Work Schedule (on the job training)
Monday -Friday 7am-3pm
Shift Differential Premiums
- 2nd Shift = $.75/paid hour if 50% or more of scheduled hours occur between 4pm-12am on a regular and reoccurring basis.
- WKND Shift = $3.75/ hour worked between 3am Saturday to 11pm Sunday
