~BSN
~5 ~ 7 years clinical experience
~National Certification from an ANCC recognized organization
~3~5 years management experience
~Experience in a Magnet Organization with participation in Magnet writing and preparation ~ Excellent interpersonal relationship skills

Purpose:
Responsible for coordination and oversight of the process required to maintain readiness for the Magnet Recognition Program of the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) application, written document submission, site visit and interim reporting. This includes nursing professional practice under the direction of Nursing Director and CNO utilizing effective interpersonal/ communication, change management and leadership skills.
Responsible for assuring the components of the Magnet Model are deployed and hardwired into the organization through coordination, education and consultation with leadership. Leads education for team members on the Magnet program and standards. Conducts a Magnet gap analysis and works closely with leadership to formulate plans to close the gaps in performance for the journey, designation, re~designation process.
Accountable for collaborating with others to assure that nursing meets or exceeds selected standards of nursing excellence (e.g. Magnet Model), leveraging nursing professional practice and facilitating an integrated shared governance model for nursing.
