Job Title: Machine Operator B

Job Objectives:

The level “B” operator is to perform as a functional member of the Production Team. He is to demonstrate on a consistent basis the knowledge and ability to correctly generate records, maintain a flow of materials into the process, observe the process and distinguish correct/incorrect conditions arising in feeding, extrusion, pelletizing, winding, and packaging and be able to start and correctly utilize various pieces of equipment, in accordance with process specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate knowledge and ability to stage and load correct raw materials into the process, and maintain un-interrupted flow of these materials. Maintain the integrity of all raw materials.

2. Demonstrate knowledge and ability to correctly package, weigh, and label finished products, while avoiding all risks of contamination .

3. Practice accepted work methods and comply with all relevant SOP’s and work instructions.

Generate records of work an applicable forms that reflect error-free reporting skills.

4. Accomplish assigned tasks during line changeovers with a minimum of oversight, a minimum of mistakes, and with a maximum efficiency.

5. Be able to turn on/off and operate in a safe manner, process equipment such as feeders, extruders pelletizers etc.

6. Capture process information on applicable records, identify conditions that both conform and do not conform to specifications, and report conditions of product and process on a timely basis to

Team Leader and others, as required.

7. Perform required in-process testing. Take action, as required, to prevent or stop the production of out of spec product, and indentify correctly product that make specifications.

8. Demonstrate understanding of, and compliance with, all aspects of PC quality System, as they relate to performance of job.

Relationships and Roles:

The level “B” operator is a functional member of the production Team. He is able to understand the flow of work for all products, and be able to function with minimal oversight in accomplishing basic duties required for production. He works closely with the Lead Operator to ensure process and products are run in accordance with specifications, he identifies both the in-spec and out-spec conditions and reports those as such, and he has functional abilities in all phase s of the total process.
