Employment Type : Full-Time
Operates production lines which require above-normal mental alertness and dexterity. Lines of this nature are high-speed lines with multiple machine hookups where operator may be required to service line and also pack or attend an automatic packer. Could also be required to service and pack three two or more high-speed machines. May be required to operate a fork lift truck (license required).
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
Metals A or B operator experience, high school diploma or GED Certificate. Approximately one (1) year experience is necessary to develop skills and knowledge to perform perform proficiently.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Is capable of performing all functions of "B" and "A" Metals operators. Operates equipment where above average mental alertness and skill is required because of high-line speeds or tool complexity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Machine Operator: Operating metal fabrication equipment as assigned. Inserting strip steel/blanks into equipment. Some assemble required such as bags and cartons for packing product. Checks machine product for quality, gauging, and scanning for quality. 100%
Maintenance of Equipment: Use various methods to pack product. Alerts setup or supervisory personnel when machine malfunctions occur. Operator continually checking for product cosmetic defect as well as dimensional quality checks. Situational
Training: Trains and assists with the training of new and present operators on new and present jobs, ISO, GMP/AIB, and PMO standards and procedures. Situational
Administrative : Complete necessary quality paperwork. May assist with inventory and cycle counting of material and supplies. Checks and assists with filling out operator production cards for accuracy. Situational
Housekeeping: Keeps departmental work areas, aisles, and storage areas safe, orderly, and free of obstructions. Must properly store items so maximum use of area is accomplished. Also responsible for general housekeeping, inventories, and re-warehousing. This includes sweeping on a regular basis and mopping areas when needed/instructed. Situational
Safety: Responsible for observing safety rules at all times. Reports unsafe conditions immediately to their supervisor. Reports any and all dropped/spilled loads. 100%
