Position Summary: Functions as a member of the clinic staff. Assists physicians, nurses, and techs in routine and specialized patient care tasks. Maintains center supplies. Supports the practice by utilizing his/her clinical knowledge and expertise in a clerical capacity such as registration, scheduling, data management and patient calls. Accountabilities: 1. Performs basic patient care preparation, preliminary patient observations and documentation to facilitate the flow of patients in the clinic setting. 2. Communication/documentation of all patient and office information accurately and completely to the appropriate parties and charts following HIPAA guidelines. 3. Accurate patient registration and scheduling per clinic guidelines including completion of clinic work queues. 4. Effective use of supplies including inventory, ordering and restocking. 5. Appropriate use of infection control practices, regulatory and hospital guidelines and policies. 6. Use patient centered care concepts to provide a positive experience for patients and co-workers. 7. Promote teamwork to assist providers and peers in the clinic with patient care and clinical procedures. 8. Performs other duties as assigned by the office manager.
