As an LPN you’ll provide direct nursing care to residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN or LPN/LVN in this state
- Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the resident
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel and the general public
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc. that are necessary for providing quality care
- Must possess the ability to display patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
- Must be able to complete all other tasks as assigned by facility Administrator, Director of Nursing, Nursing Supervisor, or designee
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.99 - $31.00 per hour
