Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient and family centered care in the assigned nursing unit. Roles during this phase of care focus on assessing the patient and developing a plan of care designed to meet the physical, psychological, educational, and sociocultural needs of the patient and family.
Graduate of a practical nursing program. One (1) year of clinical and/or unit specific nursing experience is preferred. Current Mississippi licensure as a practical nurse is required. BLS certification is required. IV Certification is required (or within six months of hire into the position). ACLS and PALS certifications are required (or within 90 days of hire into the position). CPI certification is required (or within 30 days of hire into the position); Unit specific nursing certifications are required.
