System Engineering Support Company, Inc. (SESCo), is a growing small business specializing in Systems Engineering and manufacturing of hardware systems.
We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler for an exciting opportunity to join production team in San Diego, CA. This position will be responsible for shipping, receiving and purchasing goods and services for mechanical and electronic systems. This position also supports special projects as required.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains accurate record of goods received and shipped; manifests, DD1149s and bills of lading. May provide support on import/export compliance shipping.
- Assists and oversees the stockroom inventory in the day-to-day task(s) required to meet production schedules and builds. Responsible for supply chain requirements for kitting to meet production goals.
- Assists in purchasing electronic components, mechanical items, and customized sheet metal.
- Advises department leads and supervisors regarding purchase and supply requirements, and specifications.
- Solicits and review quotations of items from vendors.
- Provides accurate information on purchasing requirements, analyzes, and provides input on long range planning requirements, and status of Purchase Orders to management.
- Ensures purchases comply with internal and external requirements and regulations as well as best purchasing practices.
- Informs management on government restrictions and regulations and company policy and procedures related to purchasing.
- Coordinates the procurement of materials with department leads supervisors to determine materials to meet production schedules. Assists department leads and supervisors on Bills of Material (BOM) and Purchase Orders.
- Establishes and maintains purchasing practices and policies to ensure fair, honest, and ethical relationships with vendors and government representatives.
*QUALIFICATIONS: *
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a logistics/warehouse and/or purchasing capacity with some logistics background.
- Strong reading and writing communication skills in English.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Able to use Microsoft Excel at a basic level.
- US Citizenship/permanent resident (Green Card Holder)

- Past experience working for a defense contractor is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience warehouse/logistics experience.
- Experience sourcing scarce and hard to find electronic components.
- Strong history of procuring, shipping, handling and receiving electronic parts.

Pay: $41,600.00 - $52,000.00 per year
