ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Process customer orders, plan & optimize shipments into loads, tender freight to third-party carriers
- Update Transportation Management System with current shipment information
- Provide detailed instruction to various customers & associates from other shifts by phone and e-mail.
- Provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking, process over-sight, auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.
- Complete daily logs and trackers
- Identify cost savings opportunities during load planning
- Coordinates with carriers to ensure on-time delivery by tracking trucks for pick-up, estimating times of arrival and delivery, and recovering loads when necessary
- Provides load exception investigation and reporting
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred
- Relevant/Related Work Experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time sensitive situations in a fast paced environment
- Preferred if experienced in Samsung Electronics transportation
- Competent with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (vlookups and pivot tables)
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Coordinates with carriers to ensure on-time delivery by tracking trucks for pick-up, estimating times of arrival and delivery, and recovering loads when necessary
- Ability to work First and Second Shift as needed. Flexibility with scheduling required.

- Able to sense urgency and know when to escalate for assistance
- Can create and maintain professional relationships with customers and carriers
