We are currently seeking a Logistics NPI Manager. This person will be responsible for taking the lead role in deploying new products at Lucid by working closely with Project Lifecycle Management, Vehicle Integration, Design Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of new products and changes as well as supporting the prototype, pre-production builds and SOP phase of a program.

You Will:- Understand product and part design and the impact of design changes.
- Participate in Engineering Change Request meetings to understand the scope of changes and determine assessment criteria based on the nature of approved changes.
- Develop standardized methodologies and procedures for pre-release testing, trialing, and validating new products.
- Gain holistic knowledge of the product, production processes, and manufacturing technologies in order to understand and mitigate risks, as well as to recognize optimization opportunities.
- Work with affected teams to understand the critical actions necessary for successful introduction of new features, capabilities, and products, and ensure those needs will be met ahead of deployment.
- Maintain and communicate project timelines.
- Plan, schedule and manage various purchased materials for new programs.
- Support program/s from prototype phase through start of production and own the transition plan for the program / parts to be handed over to on-going production.
- Effectively communicate material requirements and program timelines/milestones to external suppliers.
- Work with external suppliers to establish the appropriate delivery schedules for individual components, specifying quantity and frequency targeting on-time delivery; coordinate with Supply Chain team and Logistics as needed.
- Identify supply chain risks and mitigation steps to ensure material readiness.
- Communicate status and risks regularly. Escalate in a timely manner.
- Own the leadership communication on the program to all key stakeholders: program management, PMI, engineering & supply chain.
- Ensure BOM accuracy by working with engineering, PMI and document control team.
- Maintain accurate MRP data to reflect confirmed delivery quantities and due dates from suppliers, validate, troubleshoot, and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering to support material changes resulting from Change action (CAs), plan for new material and minimize obsolescence of old material
- Provide ongoing transparency of inventory levels and ensure continuous inventory accuracy.
- Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment involving manufacturing, program management, product development teams, design engineers, supply chain, production control and logistics team colleagues.
- Look for opportunities to identify and drive improvement projects/ processes.
- Generate and publish performance metrics on the program.
- Work towards and support a culture of continuous improvement and work to make business and department improvements wherever possible.
- Provide leadership and manage a small team.
You Bring:- 9+ years of experience in in materials management, production planning, material scheduling, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of related automotive industry experience and LEAN manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, SAP enterprise system, inventory management system such as MES is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with success in working across organizations at all levels.
- Proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A strong curiosity and a resolute mindset toward continuous process improvement with the ability to innovate and simplify both finance and operational processes.
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Evidence of the ability to lead and mentor teams.
- Occasional travel to support the business may be required.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in one of these fields is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
