Customer Account Manager
The Customer Account Manager performs in a customer service and sales capacity, responsible for serving as the direct point of contact for active and new customer accounts. Provides information regarding services, resolves all potential issues, initiates further business opportunities, and provides current information regarding service updates associated with assigned customer accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Build and nurture partner relationships with customers’ points of contact
- Solicit existing customers for freight opportunities
- Provide customer service requests for current and past services rendered
- Manage all account communication in a timely and professional manner
- Assist customers in identifying the services to fit their needs and provide information on additional service needs
- Source suppliers to meet customer requirements
- Maintain relationships to initiate further business
- Ability to communicate in excess of four hours via telephone daily
- Update and maintain Logistics Management System
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Perform analytical and logistics planning
- Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions
- Ability to multitask and organize information to accurately update team on current account status and information
- Achieve individual, team, and company goals and objectives
Skills & Requirements:
- Ability to work successfully and professionally in a team-based environment
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to negotiate rates, sell services, and build professional relationships via telephone
- Strong communication (both verbal and written), problem solving, & decision making skills
- Bachelor’s degree
