Logistics Clerk II – Manufacturing

Things you should know about working as a Logistics Clerk II:
Perform basic clerical functions to support effective logistics operations. Position activities will lead to accurate inventories of full goods and deposit items and clear documentation of logistics processes.
What would success look like?
- Perform physical count of full goods
- Perform physical count of deposit items
- Perform physical count of damage/out of date product
- Run reports and reconcile route in accordance with established policy and procedure
- Maintain high standards of orderliness/cleanliness on returning sales delivery vehicles
- Reconcile inventory to ensure proper accounting of company inventory/assets
- Route truck inventory (from morning checkout) Verify shipping, receiving, physical count, and sales
- Research inconsistencies and/or large variances
Minimum Qualifications
- Comprehension of basic safety principles including proper lifting and use of personal protective equipment
- Simple forklift skills, such as Stack product and Load/unload trailer
- Read and follow written SOP’s or instructions
- Complete forms (handwritten and/or computer-based) to document activities/results.
- Possess strong communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills,
- Intermediate math skills
- Operation of logistics inventory management system(s)
- Ability to consistently count received product/materials and compare to manifest with a high degree of accuracy
- Basic investigative/research skills to identify and correct inventory discrepancies
- Thorough understanding of elements contributing to logistics productivity
Preferred Qualifications
- Business Management or accounting degree (or related formal training) is preferred
- Prior experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred
