The primary duties of this position will be, but not limited to, assisting with all aspects of ag and commercial loans and orderly processing and maintenance of all loan documents according to established procedure. Receiving and processing loan advances, payments, and pay-offs. Providing customers with the appropriate loan documentation and answering questions, while maintaining exceptional customer service. Performing essential teller duties by serving as a back-up teller during peak hours and participation in the weekend rotation.
Maintains confidentiality on all banking matters.
Follows all bank policies and procedures.
Promotes all bank services by cross selling products and actively participating in marketing promotions, while providing a high level of customer service.
Requirements:
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3-5 related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Strong reading, writing, and verbal skills to effectively follow written and oral instructions, respond to questions, and compose moderately complex reports.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Count, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, percentages, loan payments and loan pay-offs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Comprehend and understand bank operations, policies (manuals), and procedures.
Recognize and reconcile problems following established guidelines.
Independent judgment to recognize and maintain confidential information.
Interpret and apply loan policy requirements.
OTHER SKILLS:
Organizational skills to assist loan officers service loan accounts and prioritize workload to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
Understanding of computer related operations.
Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database software to generate correspondence and reports.
Analytical skills to analyze loan documentation and apply quality control standards and loan documentation requirements.
Telephone skills to handle telephone calls in a professional manner.
Understanding of debits, credits, and general teller duties to serve as back-up teller.
Basic Ag business and production knowledge.
Familiarity with standard office equipment such as calculators, typewriters, copy machines and fax machines.

Additional Information:
This position is located at our Ida Grove location.
Anticipated work hours for this position will be Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, with participation in a Saturday morning rotation with other staff.
