Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMFT, LMHC, LISCW, LP) Details

Northwest Relationships - Silverdale, WA

Employment Type : Full-Time

Mental Health Professional (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) Contractor Position in Independent Group Practice (Tacoma, Silverdale)

Do you find yourself interested in a career in psychotherapy, but don't want the headaches of running your own private practice? Would you like to work in a group practice where you work among colleagues and have access to practice referrals and office amenities? Do you have little interest in marketing, billing, navigating the insurance billing and being financially responsible for business and start-up costs? Do you feel overwhelmed by the prospect of submitting claims, billing your clients, and answering insurance questions?

Consider joining our team at Northwest Relationships! We are an established independent group practice based out of downtown Tacoma, WA located on Pacific Avenue overlooking Commencement Bay and the Thea Foss Waterway. We are looking for therapists who demonstrate a heart for helping clients, have solid professional counseling experience and skills, and want to be a part of a growing team. We are in search of part- or full-time contractors who are licensed Masters- or Doctoral-level clinicians to provide services in our Tacoma and/or Silverdale offices. Requirements include being licensed or license-eligible in the State of Washington and willing to see clients at least 15 hours per week. LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC identified clinicians are encouraged to apply.

Why join our practice?

  • We are a practice made up of independent contractors who want the freedom to run their own businesses without the hassle of dealing with all the paperwork and logistics.
  • We have an established referral network (both within the community and with insurance companies) and we will support you with insurance credentialing and getting paneled in-network with most major insurance companies. All of our clinicians have built up full caseloads in a matter of a few months.
  • You’ll have access to one of the most comfortable and friendly office environments in Pierce County without the overhead. As a contractor, you don’t have to worry about paying rent on your office, advertising for clients, or dealing with insurance. We’ve got that covered. All you have to do is the clinical work you were trained to do.
  • We have an office manager on staff to support all of the administrative needs of our contractors. No more answering phone calls and missing client messages or new appointment requests.
  • We offer pay increase incentives for contractors after 18-months of service on our team.

We provide:

  • In-house administrative support to assist clinicians with initial and re-credentialing with insurance panels
  • In-house medical billing support to coordinate client payments, insurance benefits and eligibility, and claim submission
  • A friendly office manager who handles client communication and scheduling for clinical staff
  • Supportive team environment
  • Practice marketing to help promote a steady referral stream (most clinicians are full within weeks of becoming credentialed)

Required qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in a clinical mental health field
  • Washington State License to practice mental health care (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, PhD, PsyD, ARNP) or an associate license as an LMFTA or LMHCA
  • Strong commitment to social justice and providing access to services to clients with various insurances
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload, including work with individuals, couples, and families
  • Willingness to see at least 15 clients per week- schedule is flexible
  • Has active business license in Washington state
  • Desire to be part of a community of therapists and ability to work collaboratively and share mutual support with other team members

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience serving diverse or underserved populations
  • Registered with CAQH (paneling with some insurance companies is a plus)
  • Ability to offer bilingual therapy services is a plus
  • Willingness to provide services on evenings and weekends is a plus
