Job Summary

The Department of Computer and Information Science (CIS) at UM-Dearborn is seeking applications for one Intermittent Lecturer position for Winter Term 2022. The Intermittent Lecturer will be teaching one course CIS 579 Artificial Intelligence.The course is for 3 credit hours and will be taught in-person and/or online. Regarding pandemic precautions: academic year 2021-22 is currently expected to be in-person, but decisions will be made appropriate to circumstances at the relevant times, and course instruction may instead switch to virtual or hybrid.

Responsibilities*

Duties of this position include teaching, developing and providing to students a syllabus and materials using the online course management system, evaluating and grading students, holding regularly scheduled office hours, and handling routine matters related to instruction. Duties may also include supervising Graduate Student Instructors.

Required Qualifications*

Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or similar discipline with relevant specialization, relevant teaching experience and evidence of teaching excellence. Candidates will be evaluated based on submitted CV, teaching evaluations, and relevant recommendations.
