Our Lending Support Specialist I is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to creating and processing consumer loan applications and providing lending clerical support for the Lending Services department. Responsible for providing a wide variety of clerical duties associated with lending documents, to include processing and securing consumer loan titles from loan closing to releasing loan titles at loan payoff.

Essential Functions:

• Provide friendly and prompt internal and external service by modeling the sales and service initiatives of the organization.
• Ensure that titles, general ledgers, and document transfers are complete and accurate; identifying and resolving any discrepancies and errors.
• Responsible for timely title processing in accordance with specific state regulations, ensuring liens are placed securing collateral for member loans.
• Notify required employees and management of missing documentation that is required to perfect the loan titling process.
• Effectively and accurately prepare and scan member records into the imaging system, ensuring accurate indexing and filing, in accordance with Credit Union guidelines.
• Ensure compliance of the loan file according to the loan policies and underwriting guidelines.
• Verify loan payoffs and releases titles to members or dealerships.
• Ensure that loan payment adjustments and corrections are made when necessary.
• Assist branch staff in the signing and funding of consumer loans.

Experience:

• REQUIRED: Two years of similar or related duties (as outlined in the essential functions), including time spent in similar or preparatory positions.
• PREFERRED: Greater than two years of similar or related duties (as outlined in the essential functions), including time spent in similar or preparatory positions.

Education:

• REQUIRED: A high school degree or GED.
• PREFERRED: A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study.

Pay Range:

$19.67 - $23.49 per hour

** less applicable taxes; partial payment upon first full cycle pay check and after successful completion of six months of employment
