Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Legal Administrative Assistant

  • Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as Appellate Briefs.
  • Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal briefs.
  • Manage, organize, and maintain documents in electronic filing systems.
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • Resolve administrative problems.
  • Follows communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
  • Utilizes Infusion Soft Program to monitor tasks and filing deadlines.
  • Populates and maintains reports.
  • Perform duties in accordance with ethical practices, client confidentiality, HIPPA, and company guideline.
  • Assists in other functions as needed.

Required Skills & Competencies for Legal Administrative Assistant

  • 1 year College or higher.
  • Proficient in reading medical literature.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Must be fluent in English (oral, writing).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $10.00 per hour
