Position title: Leader IT Business Applications
Reports to: Technical Manager, IT D&T Applications
Location: Wichita, KS
Primary Purpose: Ensure the global SAP system is implemented and maintained effectively and meets the business needs and requirements of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Has an advanced skill set such that they are clearly identified as a go to expert in SAP WM & EWM systems configuration.
- Independently monitors workflow, project status, and ensures target dates are met.
- Independently reviews request status, issues logs, risks, timelines, and resource utilization and makes recommendation for alternate courses of action.
- Has a good understanding of the business processes, can direct changes toward standardized processes and understand when a single process will not work and why.
- Completes the configuration and or development of software and monitors transports through to production.
- Write business and technical specifications for SAP.
- Independently ensures quality assurance from test definition through assessment sign off.
- Analyze requested configuration changes and customizations to understand impact to SAP system and the impact to the business.
- Provide progress updates to all levels of management, as needed – i.e. reports, oral presentations, etc.
- Actively participate in the creation of end user training material and provide end user training support during implementation and after go live date as needed.
- Is an interactive team member clearly understanding and demonstrating a team work ethic while independently completing all required task to ensure accountability to teammates and management
- Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
- Ability to work on global support tickets as part of the global team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in IT or related area.
- 5+ years of senior level SAP – IM WM & EWM configuration experience required.
- Multiple implementations and several years experience of production support in a given functional discipline
- Has a basic understanding of ABAP and can debug process flows, which include ABAP procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Demonstrated project management
- Must be experienced in debugging problems and defining user requirements.
- Prior experience in global system design and implementation
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end business processes
- Strong written and analytical skills
- Able to work with people in such a manner as to build high moral and group commitments to goals and objectives
- Ability to create positive energy and motivation in both individuals and groups
- preferably someone who worked on consumer industry with knowledge on HU scanner stock picking, investigate reason for stock mismatch between EWM and ECC, address Master data mismatch issues between ECC and EWM, must be good in understanding business process quickly and identify problem areas that would need fix.
- Able to organize or schedule tasks, and develop realistic action plans while being sensitive to time constraints and resources availability.
- Ability to travel domestic or internationally as the need arises, with extended stays as required by a project assignment.
