Lead Server - Midlothian Country Club This position reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director with indirect reporting to the General Manager and Private Events Director. This position directly supervises the Host Staff, Servers, and Bussers. The Dining Room Manager will oversee daily food and beverage service in the Club restaurants and ensure all member services are coordinated to exceed Member expectations. Requirements · Two years of experience in the Food & Beverage Industry in a Club or high end restaurant. · Knowledge of Computer Programs including Excel and Word. · Availability to work all shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends. · Good communication skills and the ability to be a strong leader. · Food Handlers Certificate, Alcohol Safety, STAR Service Certification, STAR Trainer Certification, TABC Certification, and CPR Certification preferred. Physical Requirements Standing, walking, exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, or gases, climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, lifting up to 100 lbs., and folding, unfolding. Daily Expectations · Maintaining service standards as outlined in the Hospitality First training program. · Responsible for the service of food and beverage to the Members and Guests as scheduled, while adhering to the Midlothian Country Club standards of service and excellence. · Assist in the implementation of various training programs to the service personnel to maintain a well-trained staff to achieve service excellence and drive member satisfaction and retention. · Knowledge of functions occurring during the shift and check the room setup. Verify the room setup corresponds with the reservation book and function sheets. · A complete and comprehensive knowledge of the ala carte menu is mandatory, including daily features and specials that may not be available directly on the menu. · Knowledge of all beer, liquor, and wine available at the Club. · Accurately execute member/guest orders and requests in a timely fashion. · Develop and maintain opening and closing procedures for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. · Direct staff to complete daily assignments and side-work in their respective areas, to meet Club standards and as communicated in the Star Service FOCUS expectations (i.e., orderly/organized work areas, sanitary work areas, refill/stock containers and supplies, etc.). · Notify F&B Director of member/guest complaints as they occur. Rectify, practicing service recovery to resolve any complaints as soon as possible.
