Job Description:

The Geospatial Division of L3Harris Technologies Space and Airborne Systems Segment has an opening for a Lead Program Financial Analyst to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Rochester, NY. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting. The position will be responsible for leading earned value initiatives, customer and internal financial reporting, OSPI forecasting and analysis on a variety of programs. Candidate should have experience with multiple contract types, be self motivated and have strong interpersonal skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide financial leadership for the program team and related functional teams
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, operating income, and cash flow on programs with varying contract types
  • Preparing weekly/monthly internal key performance metrics and program review packages for senior management.
  • Preparing financial analysis including Estimate at completion, variance, risk and profit/loss analyses, etc.
  • Assessing and Preparing ASC606 Revenue Recognition forms.
  • Developing budgets to meet contractual/project financial requirements on a program.
  • Preparing and analyzing project cost estimates at completion inclusive of forecasted projections for labor, material, and subcontract expenditures.
  • Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve efficiency
  • Provide financial analysis for audits and other financial activities
  • Mentor junior level analysts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent with a minimum of 9 years of experience working on defense or government related contracts or Master's degree with 7 of experience will be considered.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set, including the capability to interface with customers and form strong business partnerships with key program leaders
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Cobra and experience with PeopleSoft and Hyperion
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels/functions within the organization
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening)
