JOB OVERVIEW: Provides general leadership in the absence of the Steward Supervisor to the stewarding staff in order to ensure cleanliness and quality of all cleaning operations, ensuring restaurants are supplied with clean equipment, dishes and silverware according to business needs and in observance of all Health department regulations as well as the companies standards. Deliver internal and external guest service the Belterra Park Way. Always exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor. Be polite and courteous when speaking with guests and team members. Be prepared with the knowledge and skill required to be responsive to guests and team member’s needs and questions. Responsible for learning and being familiar with all of Belterra Park’s room outlets, Stewarding functions, and for being able to answer general questions regarding the property. Anticipate the guest’s needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency. Is responsible for steward and cleaning operations, ensuring restaurants are supplied with clean dishes, equipment, pots, pans and silverware according to business needs. Has mastered and as a full working knowledge of maintaining, storing and the cleaning of all equipment and supplies in all outlets Responsible for actively building and retaining customer relations and acts as a mentor to Deep Cleaners and Kitchen Workers in order to provide superior customer service Assist in ordering and receiving all non-food items within the Food and Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory. Inspect equipment and ensure all equipment is in working order and up to Boyd Gaming's safety and cleanliness standards; authorize replacement parts for equipment in the food departments. Assist in work direction of the Deep Cleaners and the Kitchen Workers. Maintain open lines of communications with all Food and Beverage Managers and direct reports. Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe and effective manner. Observe and adhere to Health Department regulations regarding food handling, storage, and cleanliness of work environment. Complete knowledge of all chemicals and cleaners including their use, proper storage, and handling procedures as well as tools associated with the position. Must have the ability to train subordinates with chemicals. Consistent attendance at company/restaurant training programs as they are scheduled. Complete opening, closing and other side duties as assigned by the supervisors. Pass all tests given including the training in order to retain the knowledge needed to be an effective server. Maintain a well-groomed, neat and clean appearance. Possess the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and possess the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers. Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines described in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards. Perform all duties as assigned by management.
