THE POSITION: Law Enforcement Regional Sales Manager (Midwest)

We are seeking a hands-on, hard-working, detail oriented, and customer focused LE (Law Enforcement) Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for all sales functions in their assigned regions. This position will also provide support as an assistant range safety officer during live fire, as well as run the demonstration bay in support of a class or exposition and facilitate live fire demonstrations. The ideal candidate will partner with the VP of LE/MIL and Customer Experience Team to ensure the success of all customer platforms.

The successful candidate will work to understand and meet all customers’ unique needs, and they will also develop, build, and maintain professional relationships with each customer. In this position, the selected candidate will act as a liaison between customers and Staccato personnel, ensuring effective communication, providing ongoing status updates, and prompt resolutions. Outside of assisting during conferences, tradeshows, demonstrations, and expositions, the candidate will be mainly focused on growing our presence in the assigned region, assisting current and future customers with order related questions, checking in with customers to ensure satisfaction, soliciting feedback from customers on Staccato’s products, and gathering customer data.

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business development – conduct market research and implement strategies to identify new customers; collect data on departments within assigned region and maintain the data on a shared drive and Salesforce
  • Monitor call volume, visits, demos, T&E requests, T&E competition, approvals, etc.
  • Initiate communication and relationships with new customers
  • Live fire and range demonstrations with new departments
  • Maintain relationships and communication with existing departments and key accounts for growth
  • Facilitate Level 1 User training, as well as Level 1 Armorers trainings, for unites, teams, departments, agencies, etc. that have committed to Staccato products
  • Concierge/elite level customer care to LE departments and officers
  • Conduct quarterly connections with existing customers to ensure satisfaction with Staccato products and provide an opportunity for the customer to give feedback, ask questions, make additional purchases, etc.
  • Debrief weekly with the VP of LE/MIL – Coordinate and schedule meetings with VP as needed to report on activities, trends, new ideas, etc.
  • Attend LE conferences in assigned region – Set up and man booths in vendor displays, range demo support, and event support at your discretion
  • Collect data at conferences for research, outreach, and marketing purposes
  • Attend national conferences – NTOA, SHOT, NRA, etc.
  • Build Blue Team in assigned region for sales, follow up, and conference support

QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to general team member expectations, this role specifically requires the following:

  • For this Midwest position, residency in Illinois/Indiana/Missouri required
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; able to relate to, and work well with people both inside and outside of the Company
  • Previous Law Enforcement experience required
  • Professional presence and positive attitude
  • Strong verbal presentation skills and follow-up skills
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Moderate firearms experience (handguns primarily and carbine skills preferred), with some instructor experience preferred
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office programs
  • Travel will be required 50% of the time
