Laser Operator
Employment Type : Full-Time
Duties:
- Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures.
- Stage raw materials at work-center for the day’s production. (Fork Lift Operation)
- Load and unload machine with correct sheet sizes and label parts with correct part numbers.
- Maintain daily dust collector service and report equipment deficiencies.
- Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the Manufacturing Engineer.
- Perform operator level maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine recommendations.
- Facilitate work-order paper flow in accordance with Company Standards.
- Help with training of new hires on machine functions and Company Processes.
- Check parts to ensure they are within tolerance and Company Standards.
- Monitoring assist and resonator gas levels and recommend supply requirements for daily production.
- CNC programming at post when required.
Qualifications
- Understanding of flat metal layout considering growth and bend allowance.
- Complete understanding of press brake forming techniques and brake sequences.
- Analyzes plans, drawings, layouts, and work orders to determine work requirements of sheet metal assignments.
- Ability to interpret shop drawings, sketches, layouts and blue prints.
- Ability to understand and effectively carry out complex oral and written instructions.
