Collins Engineers, Inc. has an opportunity for a civil engineering student to apply their academic training to meaningful work experience with our civil site/land development design group in Denver, CO. The student will work under the supervision of professional engineers and gain insight into the engineering processes and activities related to the civil engineering field. The position is available during the Summer of 2021 and provides full-time hours to allow for a greater depth of technical training and proficiency. During this time, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience using programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation. This position will work on various projects, including: site design, utilities, and roadway design.Position Description: TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Focuses primarily on land development/civil site design projects.
• Compiles reports.
• Properly checks other team members’ calculations.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
• Field work will be required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Junior or senior working towards a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college.
• Previous software experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation,or Civil 3D is a plus.
• Previous software experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF or other PDF editing software is a plus.
• A valid driver's license.

Salary Range: $16-20/hour, depending on year in school. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon compensable factors, including: experience, education, and skill level.
