Overview
As a Land Acquisition Manager with Lennar, you will be responsible for complete land acquisition management from sourcing of potential new acquisitions through property settlement.
Responsibilities
- Source potential land acquisition opportunities through detailed study of tax maps and networking with attorneys, engineers, brokers and others involved in residential land development.
- Perform a lead role in land acquisition negotiations and administer purchase documentation, financial analysis and due diligence processes, title report/insurance matters and monitors pre-closing compliance issues for properties under consideration for purchase.
- Prepare market analysis, assess values and prepare narrative reports for properties under consideration for purchase.
- Manage feasibility studies and the preparation of land acquisition approval submissions.
- Management of land contracts and acquisitions.
- Prepare/update annual objectives, budgets and schedules for assigned programs
- Responsible for lot takedown schedules, land pipeline schedules, and LOC updates.
- Schedule and achieve starts projections and closings on new communities.
- Maintain inventory reports, critical dates, contract summaries and periodic market analysis.
- Monitor market activity for pricing, value and absorption.
- Maintain Land Contract files, maps and other files in Division office.
- Network with other builders and developers to maintain market awareness; develop key contacts introductions to DP to become a strong competitor in Division’s market area.
- Assist with property rezoning and community planning.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance, real estate or similar program required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in land acquisition or residential real estate
- Strong analytical skills and computer literacy, including word-processing, spreadsheet preparation and analysis, project scheduling and data management software
- Experience in the use of market research tools
- Knowledge of sales/negotiating principles and real estate
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and produce in a fast-paced environment
- Must exercise initiative and achieve objectives with minimal supervision
- Must be highly motivated, self-managed, detail-oriented and a problem-solver able to deal with complex situations
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
- Valid auto insurance coverage required
- Local experience is recommended and preferred
