Basic Summary

We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant for our Biologics Testing Solutions site located in Wayne, PA. You may be required to work a rotating shift schedule that may require weekend hours.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Performance of the following, as applicable:
    • prepare media and laboratory solutions;
    • prepare and titrate microbial and viral stocks;
    • prepare and stain spot slides;
    • prepare primers and probes;
    • isolate and purify DNA, RNA, and proteins
  • Perform daily cleaning and monitoring of laboratories and coordinate instrument maintenance; calibrate laboratory equipment; record laboratory temperature readings
  • Order, log-in and restock supplies; remove laboratory waste; coordinate shipments and maintain clear, accurate and timely documentation of all laboratory work
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company policies and procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of related college coursework preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
