Kindergarten Team Teacher

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School seeks a Kindergarten Team Teacher for the 2022/23 school year.
The ideal candidate is a teacher with student-centered pedagogy, a strong ability to connect with early elementary-aged students, a social justice orientation, and expertise in planning experiential learning opportunities. We seek candidates who are highly motivated, hard-working, collaborative, flexible; demonstrate a desire to learn; show initiative and have a sense of humor.

  • Perform specific duties and tasks as assigned
  • Provide individual and small group instruction with the explicit purpose of student differentiation
  • Help students focus on self-management and community-oriented conduct
  • Prepare instructional materials, spaces, and resources
  • Collaborate with kindergarten team in the development of a conducive learning environment that is developmentally appropriate
  • Lead and support the planning of daily and long-term lessons, projects, and experiences
  • Advocate for and support student learning, needs and contexts
  • Escort students to different spaces
  • Support in the evaluation and assessment of student work, portfolios, and projects
  • Maintain student records, data, and samples
  • Collect and display material that is relevant to student progress, performance, and interest
  • Teach and co-teach in a variety of contexts and over diverse topics and interests
