We are looking for a Key Account Manager. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of specified accounts, including developing and implementing growth plans and profitability and rationalization strategies for his/her respective book of business. This person will lead cross-functional teams of professionals at the customer and within business unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for overall customer relationship
- Work with customers to identify Tenneco sales opportunities.
- Responsible for assigned book of business and Annual Operating Planning process for your customers
- Represent Tenneco on technical and commercial issues in line with business strategy to your customers.
- Manage program profitability and support cost optimization programs and commercial roadmap activities.
- Work with Tenneco Cost Estimating team to collect cost information, establish program pricing and profitability per established guidelines
- Prepare business cases for review and approval during new business acquisition, launch, and production.
- Preparation of detailed quotes and negotiation of product, development and tooling costs including verification of price relevant data.
- Create, negotiate and maintain all Customer sourcing agreements and related documents needed to maintain and secure new business
- Manage customer cost reduction and materials programs to optimize our position in both short and long term.
- Manage Customer open issues relating to purchase orders, tool orders, customer payments, obsolescence, accruals, royalty payments, past due account receivables, etc.
- Work with Tenneco and Customer manufacturing and engineering groups to successfully launch new programs.
- Regionally focused and works with the global teams to support the global customer requirements
- Travel to customer locations, plants, and supplier locations as necessary to develop and maintain customer relations.
- Travel up to 10-25%.
Required Experience
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of automotive experience preferred.
- Customer experience and contacts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills (verbal, written and presentation).
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Confident in PC ability with Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
- Analytic expertise and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability in relationship building, customer liaison and program management.
- Strong team player with ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
- Must have a strong financial and technical aptitude.
