Junior System Administrator Details

The Junior System Administrator is responsible for administration, maintenance, and support of the Credit Union’s network infrastructure. This job requires knowledge and experience dealing with implementation and issue resolution of Microsoft server platforms and desktop technologies from versions 2012 R2 to current, VMware, ESXi servers and storage platforms including enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains and supports the integrity of Active Directory, Office 365, and their Domain components.
  • Detect, diagnose and resolve or escalate system issues arising within the system architecture including server hardware, Windows, VMWare ESXi, vCenter operating systems.
  • Maintain and support a High Availability environment through virtualization and redundancy, following bestpractices according to the systems in the environment.
  • Experience in network troubleshooting including workstations and infrastructure, hardware repair and upgrades.
  • Provide technical guidance to Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams.
  • Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as software upgrades, back-ups, and recovery including file maintenance.
  • Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
  • Review systems for critical updates on a weekly basis, or each time a major threat is announced.
  • Remain on call for system issues with the real-time software during off business hours as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in computer science or related field is preferred. Substantial experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Minimal lifting and bending or other limited physical activity is required.
  • Three plus years of professional experience with Information Systems and technology functions.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and topologies.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position through compliance training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
