SUMMARY:

This is an excellent opportunity to join the recently established North American division of a multi-national green (raw) coffee trading company called Falcon
Coffees. We buy green coffee from coffee farmers around the world and sell it to coffee roasters throughout North America. We have offices in England, Ethiopia, Uganda, Peru, and Austin TX. The Austin office was established in 2017 and over the past 3 years we’ve built up a small team of sales, logistics, and coffee quality experts. We’ve seen significant growth and are looking to add a Junior Logistics and Trade Coordinator to help support these established teams. The main focus of this role is to support these teams with reporting and data entry and analysis as we continue to expand within North America. This position has excellent growth potential into higher level logistics, trading, and/or coffee quality roles. We have a very dynamic and fun team and the office is based in the heart of East Austin.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Utilize steamship line websites and various supplier communication to track and update ETA’s for all incoming US and Canada coffee shipments and update our system where necessary.
• Check and approve all 3PL invoices (warehouses, trucking companies, brokers, etc) and approve for payment. Additionally, 3PL warehouse invoices must be uploaded into our system monthly.
• Issue debit and credit notes for any weight discrepancies or claims
• Assist the arrangement and tracking of domestic transportation movements between warehouses and roasters
• Send weekly Stock Allocation Reports to roasters
• Assist with Releases of coffee to roasters as needed
• Assist the trade desk with entering coffee contracts
• Run various reports and undertake data analysis as requested by management

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Logistics experience preferred but not required
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work independently. Our office is currently closed due to Covid-19 and we are all working remotely until it is safe to return to the office.
• Flexible and ability to multi-task

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
