We are currently seeking Jr PLC Software Engineers to join our team. This Jr PLC Software Engineer will apply electrical/pneumatic theory, and related knowledge to design industrial controls systems and assembly tools. The Jr PLC Software Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting PLC, robotics, and various automation issues, along with programming new installations of tooling and conveyor systems and troubleshoot existing installations. The Jr PLC Software Engineer will have the ability to design and incorporate various controls components, while reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings. Primary Responsibilities Jr. PLC Software Engineer:

• Jr PLC Programmer will be capable of taking direction using principles and techniques in programming, start-up, and debug of automation equipment at client and on customer site.
• Apply electrical/pneumatic theory and related knowledge to design industrial controls systems and assembly tools.
• Ability to design and incorporate various controls components.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Write and program logic that will ensure coordination between the automation and the code.
• Troubleshoot PLC, robotics and various automation issues, along with programming new installations of tooling and conveyor systems and troubleshoot existing installations.
• Support manufacturing resources and customers and troubleshoot and debug systems.
• Work with engineering and management to help the team meet their commitments for product delivery to our customer.
• All other duties as assigned

Education/Skills/Experience Jr. PLC Software Engineer

• Minimum Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of Manufacturing with PLC Software experience desired.
• Professional internship or co-op experience in PLC programming highly desired.
• Knowledge of aspects of software design and coding.
• Knowledge of ladder, logic, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuitry and understanding of mechanical sequencing of machinery.
• Willing to travel at least 35% and be a part of the EPP/SEP team at HTI
• Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel required and Adobe Acrobat PC
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Quick learner, self-starter and ability to work independently to drive project with minimal direction.
• Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing conditions and priorities.
