Jr. Help Desk Specialist - Secret Clearance

Position SummaryThis position supports the Center of Information Warfare Training (CIWT) at Corry Station in Pensacola.Primary Responsibilities- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and system administration of network servers and desktops primarily including Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline (SHB) and Windows Server 2012/2016 operating systems, VMware server and workstation virtualization technologies, and other associated peripheral devices.
- Responsible for maintaining Active Directory and performing account management functions
- Review security scans and apply required patches
- Perform system/data backup and recovery
- Perform network troubleshooting and fiber/cable repair
- Assist with network infrastructure installation and configuration, fiber/cable installations, and other duties as directed
Skills/Qualifications- Must have at least two years of experience in computer system administration of network servers and desktops to include Windows 7/10 and Windows server 2008/2012/2016 operating systems, VMware server and workstation virtualization technology, as well as computer and network cable repair. Experience with UNIX or Linux experience is also a plus
- Be able to setup and maintain Microsoft Active Directory 2008/2012, and create and deploy Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
- Experience implementing VMware vSphere (or other virtualization technologies), networked storage devices, and network infrastructure is a plus
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting is a plus
- Some experience with system administration tools such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Altiris, Microsoft Active Directory tools, Anti-virus software, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) is a plus
Education/Certifications/Clearance:- Security+ or equivalent IAT II security certification is required at hire, and must remain DoD 8570.1M compliant
- Will be required to achieve, within 6 months, a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) on the Windows Server 2008 or Windows 7 (or later operating systems) plus an A+ certification
- Must have a current Secret clearance at time of hire and be able to a Top Secret clearance if necessary.
