JPMWM - Digital Wealth Job In JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. At

JPMWM - Digital Wealth Management Analytics Manager - Vice President Details

JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. - Jersey City, NJ

Employment Type : Full-Time

The Data & Analytics team is the engine that powers JPMorgan Chase with insights to create competitive advantages for our business and deliver value for our customers. We have unified data and analytics talent across the firm and encompass a variety of disciplines including data science, reporting, quantitative analytics, and data governance. Within this organization, the Decision Sciences team leverages industry-leading data-driven techniques to convert data into meaningful insights that enable the firm to drive value and an outstanding customer experience.

The industry is rapidly changing and JPMorgan Chase is transforming our wealth management business to accelerate growth. We are looking for talented data scientists to help execute our analytic strategies for the newly formed JPMorgan Wealth Management (JPMWM) business unit which includes financial advisors, and our online investing platforms. Reporting to the Executive Director of JPMWM Customer Insights, this role will be central in defining and delivering digital capabilities to enable interactions with wealth management clients at scale.

This is a producing manager role: you will manage a small team of analyst as well as be expected to own hands-on, technical work. We're looking for exceptionally creative, ambitious, \"data curious\" thinkers and statisticians who can help lead digital wealth analytics to take it to the next level. A typical day might include:

  • Partnering with key executives and decision makers as the analytics subject matter expert to launch a new digital wealth management product, including instrumentation architecture, data collection, and KPI reporting
  • Analyzing website clickstream data to tease out the pattern of behaviors in new clients and make recommendations to optimize the digital onboarding journey and drive engagement
  • Executing a testing strategy to determine what capabilities need to be prioritized in order to optimize our online investing experience for active traders
  • Helping a team member to improve their analysis by testing new data, identifying false positive/negatives, or editing their storyline to be more impactful
  • Developing a dashboard to measure the end-to-end performance of our digital sales funnel from traffic to impression to inquiry to new client lead for advisors in order to optimize our lead generation platform
  • Partnering with platform owners, journey owners and channel owners on a roadmap to onboard new analytic platforms and capabilities that will enable the digital investing platform to scale

You are a strong candidate if you:

  • Have a demonstrated history of managing world class teams of high performing quantitative analysts and data scientists in the delivery of analytics and machine learning to improve digital performance
  • Are a digital jack- (or jill-) of-all-trades: you can design tagging strategies, develop visualizations to support website traffic analysis, and leverage machine learning approaches to create behavioral based segmentations of users
  • Understand the complexities of attribution and know how to navigate working with measurement strategies as well as standardized performance reporting to facilitate the prioritization of our digital investments
  • Possess a unique combination of technical skills and storytelling to be able to apply a range of descriptive to prescriptive analytic techniques to business problems and explain your results to people with math-a-phobia
  • Think R is more than a letter, PYTHON is more than a snake, and Java is more than an island or coffee bean; you have querying and programming skills and are curious to learn new tools and techniques
  • Dream of the day that 'Adobe Analytics' is a category on Jeopardy so you can impress your friends and family with your digital analytics expertise
  • Have a strong presence, excellent presentation skills (both written and verbal), and low ego with the ability to deliver recommendations to multiple stakeholders and influence senior management
  • Hold a bachelors or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., STEM field, Finance, or Economics)

Bonus points if you:
  • Previously worked in an insights function at a financial services firm or digital marketing agency
  • Have experience with a wide variety of analytic platforms and tools such as: tag management systems (Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager, Tealium); testing/personalization platforms (Optimizely, Qubit, Google Optimize); and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Are trained in statistical principles including experimental design and analysis of variance, probability theory, and sampling theory; additional points if you have an advanced degree in Statistics or a related discipline
  • Possess a deep understanding of how the wealth management market is evolving, the sources of competitive differentiation in the market, and how those could evolve
  • Are a lifelong learner and hold a growth mindset; we welcome individuals who geek out on industry podcasts, stay abreast of cutting edge techniques, or participate in KDD and Kaggle competitions for "fun" and love to share what they are learning with the rest of the team
