Job Description
- Provide building, plumbing, painting and general facility maintenance support for FTP.
- Trouble shoot, repair, replace and maintain piping underground and aboveground, sinks, mixers and water heaters
- Prepare and paint metal, wood and street surfaces as needed. Perform general fabrication functions (cut, shear bend, weld) in the maintenance, repair or building of shelves, covers and related items. Maintain, repair and replace paper towels and soap dispensers
- Toilets and urinals, pipe and drain plugs and related plumbing. Trouble shoot, fabricate, repair and replace doors, door frames, hinges, handles, and closures
- Repair, replace and maintain epoxy hard flooring, asphalt and concrete surfaces as needed
- Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to insure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of five years of building and facilities maintenance experience
- Must have good written and verbal English communications skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lead small crew of pool maintenance people on weekends
- Must be able to interact positively with Plant Production and Maintenance personnel to resolve maintenance issues
- Must be able and willing to work rotating Tuesday - Saturday work weeks
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to work from a ladder
- Must be able to pass a test at the appropriate skill level for this position
- Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
