Your Role Gensler Los Angeles is currently seeking an experienced Job Captain with a successful track record working with teams on workplace interiors. In this position, you will collaborate with a team of designers and architects to produce technical documentation and communicate project progress to team members to ensuring our projects exceed client expectations. What You Will Do Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of projects Provide project team coordination for incorporating design intent into construction documentation Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues and maintain quality control during construction Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives Utilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts Your Qualifications 5+ years of related professional experience Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications and construction techniques Experience in construction document preparation and field observation Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills Proficient in Revit and AutoCad, with experience in Adobe CS, SketchUp and other 3D modeling software a plus Architectural registration and LEED accreditation preferred or in process Applications will not be considered without uploaded portfolio/work samples Life at Gensler We encourage our employees to lead a healthy and balanced life.
