This is an advanced professional, technical and administrative position within the organization and is responsible for managing training and/or informational and educational programs within the Court Information Technology Services (CITeS) Division. The position is responsible for managing training and educational programs; planning, conducting training/educational classes or seminars; producing court-related publications; maintaining an inventory of training/educational materials; collecting and analyzing data, workloads and other functions of the court; and performing related administrative functions, including reporting. The position works under general supervision independently developing work methods and sequences. Supervision is received from an administrative superior who reviews program activities for timely progress in meeting training goals and objectives.

This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work/onsite schedule as outlined by existing Circuit policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Resolves applications issues on courtMap for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resolves Zoom application issues.
  • Answers Zoom application questions.
  • Delivers training on site or via Zoom.
  • Coordinates the planning, design and implementation of training classes and other learning activities for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit and its external stakeholders. Ensures the operation of training equipment by establishing and/or coordinating preventive maintenance.
  • Applies a wide range of data processing/communications training techniques, options and programs, and makes recommendations when consulted.
  • Performs training needs assessments by use of automated systems; and maintains statistical data base associated with training needs surveys.
  • Prepares reports on the quality and quantity of the training accomplished; utilizes modern technology to prepare and distribute course catalogs and updates; and utilizes automated systems for Computer Based Training (CBT) registration, evaluation, and records maintenance.
  • Introduces new training technologies, updates training documentation and maintains a training materials inventory.
  • Participates in the development of departmental training budget; and identifies new technical training resources.
  • Assists employees/staff/participants with subject matter and operation of training equipment; schedules rooms, equipment and materials to support training activities; monitors students' progress and provides regular status reports to students' supervisors.
  • Prepares, compiles and edits training materials including outlines, training schedules, lesson plans and training aids; assures that all items needed for training are available on schedule to all registered students; develops mechanisms, activities, programs, and systems to facilitate technical and operational continuing education.
  • Advises employees on career development and availability of training courses and educational programs offered locally; coordinates and sets up on-site training locations throughout the circuit; and produces e-mails and flyers informing staff of upcoming seminars.
  • Adheres to organizational, system specific, application specific policies, procedures and standards.
  • Performs related work as required.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree to include 15 semester credits in Computer Science.
  • Two (2) years of experience in technical computer information systems training.
    • Additional related experience may substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of Zoom and YouTube Video Administration.
  • Knowledge of employee training principles, practices and methods.
  • Knowledge of data processing hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of data processing/communications trends, developments and issues.
  • Knowledge of current Microsoft Office suites including Office 365.
  • Knowledge of One Drive and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to conduct training needs assessments.
  • Ability to evaluate and select vendor training products.
  • Ability to coordinate with all organizational levels in the delivery of technical training by scheduling and disseminating information.
  • Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Physical DemandsWork involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, balancing, stooping, and reaching with hands and arms; must be able to transfer up to 10 pounds. Working ConditionsModerate noise; business office setting. Position works 100% of the time onsite at the Lawson E. Thomas Courthouse building and may travel to deliver training at other courthouse locations.
