    Responsibilities
    • Please note, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Agency is operating in a maximum telework posture for all telework ready employees occupying a telework eligible position.
    • This position serves as an Information Technology Specialist in the Program Executive Office, Enterprise Operations Engineering Portfolio, Test (J62JC).
    • (con't) responsible for support of the Federal law and DOD procedures ensuring the accessibility of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
    • The incumbent will coordinate and conduct analysis, testing, develop recommendations, and recommend approval of applications and websites from.
    • (con't) development into production to leadership, based on established DOD and DLA enterprise test and Section 508 policies and procedures.
    • Develops and implements approved plans, objectives, policies, procedures, and guidance required to ensure that the Agency's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) are in compliance with those of Federal, DOD, and DLA policies.
    • Responsible for providing accessibility analysis and recommendations to a wide range of J62 portfolios and program offices including Enterprise Business System (EBS).
    • (con't) Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS), Document Automation and Printing Service (DAPS); Defense Automatic Addressing System Center (DAASC), DLA Systems Information Offices (DSIOs), and more.
    • Reviews, researches, and analyzes current DLA ICT processes and products; recommends modification as required; coordinates all reviews and recommendations that affect field sites and program offices.
    • (con't) prepares reports of findings and recommendations for submission to the appropriate Program Manager, Portfolio Manager, or PEO as needed.
    • Conducts periodic process/product quality assurance assessments/reviews in accordance with the J-6 Accessibility policy to ensure that all ICT are in compliance.
    • Serves as an Agency training base for ICT accessibility policy and procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned to support the Program Executive Office.

    QualificationsTo qualify for an IT Specialist (INET) your qualifications must include:

    A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
    • Mastery of and skill in applying internet services architecture; advancing Internet Technologies; and the agency's strategic business plan.
    • Mastery of and skill in web development which is the basis for web policy and procedure development.
    • Establishing and managing teams, translating high-level guidance into actionable tasks, and monitoring and reporting the progress of the team as it fulfills its responsibilities.
    Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
    Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
