IT Project Manager Details

The Project Manager provides leadership on internal operational projects or programs from initiation through delivery. Gathers required data from end users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to define deliverables. Ensure that all targets and requirements are met and are completed on schedule and within budget. Work closely with various internal departments and at times external vendors to ensure successful completion of projects. Keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results. The ideal applicant has worked previously in a healthcare environment, preferably with EMR and/or Salesforce experience. PMI or other certification is preferred.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, technical leads, developers, and quality assurance associates from project scope definition through implementation.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
  • Direct and facilitate development of business case, resource requirements, Work Breakdown Structure, project plan, communications plan, testing, and implementation with the input from the project teams.
  • Provide a significant level of competence to project teams by leveraging technical background and strong business management experience to provide clear communications and expectation management.
  • Hold regular meetings with project teams including project kick off and close out meetings, set agendas, document and communicate meeting notes and action items.
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Provides direction and support to the project team
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills

Education and Experience:

  • 5-7 years' experience in project management
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SmartSheet or other project management software and/or collaboration and time management tool
  • Experience with process improvement and project methodologies (i.e. Six Sigma, LEAN)
  • PMP Certification or other project management certification
  • Experience in Agile development principles and methodologies
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.


Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected
