A Brief Overview
The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the design, repair and maintenance of PADT;s communication, software, computer and internet infrastructure. Includes the required hands-on work, managing others, and performing typical management duties such as planning, budgeting, purchasing and record keeping.

What you will do

  • Manages information technology support employees by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining ; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Primary responsibility for company hardware infrastructure including computers, printers, network equipment, etc., through maintenance, system setup and reload, hardware recommendations, budgeting and monitoring.
  • Primary responsibility for communication infrastructure including phones, phone system, faxes and service plans to include product recommendation, installation, maintenance, monitoring, programming, modifications, and performance auditing.
  • Software operating system responsibilities include maintenance and monitoring of OS software, installation, configuration, media distribution, licensing and budgeting.
  • Technical computing responsibilities include assisting engineers load, configure and maintain technical computing software, manage TCSW media and media distribution, licensing and maintenance
  • Business productivity & utilities include assisting staff as needed to load, configure and maintain technical productivity, Manage BP&U SW media and media distribution, licensing and budgeting.
  • Completes information technology upgrade projects by upgrading current software for different operating systems, compilers, utilities, databases, and networks; establishing target dates; monitoring installation.
  • Helps users accomplish information systems job results by developing training programs; training and coaching personnel.
  • Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
  • Improves information technology support job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5 years or more in an IT manager or similar management role
  • Extensive knowledge of information processing
  • Ability to work well and engage with onsite and remote employees
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to resent information clearly.
  • People management
  • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, MAC OSx, Microsoft Office Suite, Email Systems, Networking and WiFi, VPN Technologies, VoIP Telephone Systems, Incident Ticketing Systems, Remote Support Tools, Printers/MFC, Handheld Devices/Mobile Devices, Asset Management Tools, Server Management Administration, Microsoft Exchange Server, LAN- Local Area Network, WAN- Wide Area Network, Wpan- Wireless Personal Area Network Benefits
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering preferred but not required.
