We are hiring an IT Helpdesk Specialist to join our growing team in Bothell! You will be providing service and technical assistance to employees concerning computer hardware and software. This position is being hired as a limited duration position to last up to 12 months. This position may have the potential of becoming a regular full-time position depending on performance and business need.

IT Helpdesk Specialist

In this role, you will:

  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
  • Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
  • Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements or upgrades.

We’re looking for someone with the following:

  • Two years of experience working with computer hardware and software, processors, electronic equipment including applications and light programming.
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) or some related college courses desirable.
  • Excellent customer service and meeting quality standards for services.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships.
  • Skilled in organizing, planning, and prioritizing work.
