Oversees all technical, functional and application guidance and support for University Advancement/FIU Foundation. Ensures all users receive services to include troubleshooting hardware and software issues; installation and support of OS (Operating Systems) and supports OS; applications for PCs, laptops and all mobile devices. Ensures proper and timely set-up and configuration of all new machines as needed. Provides recommendations on the purchase of upgrades to meet the growing needs of the division.
Configures and manages remote access technologies for users in the Division of University Advancement.
Oversees a total of 136 workstations to include Software support, updates and security; Print Severs, Address Validation server and a software distribution sever. Responsible for updates and security maintenance for two Windows Enterprise servers and 2 SQL databases servers.
Manages and assigns network mappings and shares for all users in the Division of University Advancement.
Initiates updates, maintenance, and upgrades of Raiser's Edge Clients. Responsible for all Upgrade/Security of 302 Raisers Edge Clients campus wide.
Supports/troubleshoots/manages VPN connections and accounts for University Advancement.
Serves as primary liaison between University Advancement/FIU Foundation and the Division of IT. Collaborates with Central IT staff to determine how to best meet unique needs of unit and resolve any issues and/or concerns that may arise from clients, beyond the environment.
Sets up new employees with technical devices and access including, network access, resources, etc.
Responsible for set-up of all technological and audio-visual needs for University Advancement/FIU Foundation such as Donor events, Board and/or staff meetings, interviews, training and/or webinars. Facilitates timely preparation prior to events and continuous support during and thereafter.
Provides technical support for the various Division WordPress websites.
Responsible for print server management and administration.
Manages University Advancement SharePoint intranet. Meets with clients andprovides customization to individual SharePoint sites for business purposes. Serves as the SharePoint Content manager for University Advancement/FIU Foundation. Provides technical support and troubleshoots issues as they arise.
Facilitates efficient installation, configuration, upgrade and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
Interacts with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment.
Ensures desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
Recommends and/or performs upgrades on systems to ensure longevity. Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for hardware and software purchases.
Serves as primary liaison and collaborates with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment, mobile and software.
Assists in maintaining LAN/WAN and hardware records/inventory.
Troubleshoots/ Maintains/ Secures Mobile apps (RE Mobile Pay, RE Event and RE Mobile)
Stay current with new technologies and/or newest versions of hardware and software. Researches technologies (hardware/ software) and benchmarks implementation and utilization in order to maintain a healthy infrastructure within budget .
Designs and facilitates end user training for all existing hardware and software. Surveys workforce for technological needs and knowledge gaps to provide useful content for future training. Ensures follow-up for effective utilization of newly acquired tools and/or skill sets as a result of training.
Effectively communicates all system updates, upgrades, security information, and changes in technology with all of University Advancement/FIU Foundation.
Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, public health emergencies, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.
Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology field and two (2) years of experience in the field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
