About the Team
With more than USD 120 bn of assets under management, Swiss Re Asset Management manages the assets generated through the core insurance and reinsurance business. The Asset Management IT Investment Management squad enables front office professionals to focus on investment strategies and maximize return by supporting applications and processes that manage investment decision workflows, key financial data, and the overall global portfolio.


About the Role
As an IT Business Analyst, you will

  • Analyze, articulate, and define requirements of business ideas and drive data gathering and evaluation
  • Develop artifacts such as business capability maps and value streams to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal customers by having a good understanding of issues and challenges
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions and operating model analysis
  • Promote and drive implementation of Investment Management requirements on various new platforms, such as the Foundry software suite
  • Ensure transparency and consensus by continuous communication and active expectations management with all Stakeholders
  • Support production systems with root cause analysis and solution design
  • Organize and participate in functional test and provide defect analysis; organize user acceptance test
  • Lead and manage training, change management and rollout plans for new and existing initiatives

About you

  • University degree (Information Technology or Similar) and 5+ years of experience in business analysis and agile methodologies
  • Strong understanding of the Asset Management value chain and various products such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, private equity, private debt, and real estate
  • Proficient in agile methodologies and SQL; experience in Aladdin, eFront, Palantir Foundry, Bloomberg, Python, Tableau, MSBI
  • Proven success working with ETL processes (extraction, transformation and delivery of data for end user solutions)
  • Strong communication skills with well-developed documentation & facilitation skills
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multi-cultural environment
  • High degree of flexibility, independent and proactive working style; ability to excel in a remote working environment across regions or time zones
  • Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple initiatives
  • Strong dedication to quality and timely customer service
  • Flexible and open for new tasks, willing and eager to learn
