Summary:
The IT system administrator is responsible for the secure operation of the entire IT infrastructure (network, hardware, and software) with a balanced cost-benefit ratio, while maintaining the protection goals of data, information, and IT security.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Administration and installation of workstation and server systems
- Management, expansion, and renewal of hardware and software (hardware and software procurement, license management, software distribution)
- Planning, building, and administration of networks
- Planning and administration of company-wide printing services
- Administration of users and user rights
- User support
- Data backup and recovery
- Implementation of technical and organizational measures to ensure data protection, data security and IT security
- Disaster planning and recovery
- Configuration and administration of security solutions
- Configuration and administration of mail and groupware systems
- Configuration and administration of Internet access and the web server
- Installation, administration, and coordination of relational databases
- Configuration and administration of the central storage infrastructure
- Configuration and management of the central backup solutions
Requirements:
- Training as an IT specialist or a comparable training
- In-depth knowledge of the security requirements and security measures for application systems, databases, and security infrastructure components
- Willingness to work flexible hours, even at low-operating times during the night or on weekends, as well as on-call duty
Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Analytical and systematic work
- Able to communicate effectively upward and downward.
