Are you a sharp evaluator of risk? Can you investigate complex situations and propose solutions? We're looking for an Investment Bank Auditor who can:
- independently lead or perform audits and issue assurance on our Investment Bank audit team (IB), to mainly focus on Operations areas, including margin management, trade processing, regulatory transaction reporting, payments, corporate actions, and securities and OTC derivatives settlements but also working on other audits including front-office audits
- identify and evaluate the effectiveness of controls designed to address key risks
- deliver audit results and risk focused conclusions on time and within budget, to drive appropriate business actions
- follow Group Internal Audit's (GIA) risk control and governance framework to assess the effectiveness of governance, controls, processes and sustainability of remediation activities
- monitor the risk profile and developments within Operations and provide ongoing input for business risk assessments
- build trust and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders in Group Operations
- collaborate with peers within and across audit teams, and when in charge of an audit, effectively manage auditors and support the audit mandate

You’ll be working in the Group Internal Audit (GIA) team NY/NJ or CT. GIA’s role, as an independent function, is to support UBS in achieving its strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives. We do this by assessing key processes as well as governance, risk management, and the control environment within all business divisions and Corporate Center/Shared Services functions globally. We are independent in our work and report directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee.

- a university degree, equivalent education or professional audit designation such as CIA, CPA
- ideally 6 - 8 years of experience with in-depth knowledge of the investment banks and / or Operations areas in financial industry. This experience could have been gained in an Operations or Internal Audit function
- strong analytical skills and willingness to keep up with industry, regulatory developments and learn new concepts and methods
- able to quickly understand complex processes, identify risks and inadequacies in procedures, as well as propose practical and sustainable solutions
- ability to build stakeholder relationships with all levels and ranks of the UBS organization
- a good understanding of banking operations and regulations
- potential to grow and take on more responsibilities
