Job Title: Inventory Specialist Overall Objectives The inventory specialist ensures accuracy of incoming merchandise, performs quality inspection, packages and labels the product per quality standards, and files it on a shelf. This individual is accountable for maintaining accurate inventory counts, and internal record-keeping systems Key Tasks · Receives and records incoming products from suppliers in product receiving log · Assists Shipping Clerk in receiving product. · Manages the product acquisition procedure. · Inspection and verification of receiving goods against invoice documentation notifying P&L (Purchasing & Logistics) Manager of any discrepancies. · Records shortages and rejects damaged goods to P&L Manager. · Performs standard testing of receiving products required for regulatory compliance and notifies P&L Manager of any discrepancies while segregating non-conforming products in specified location “On Hold Area”. · Create labels for products via Wasp Label Software ensuring accuracy of lot numbers and other variable information needed per product requirements. · Prints out labels, repackages and labels incoming product per specifications. · Completes inventory moves from different locations within the system · Verifies incoming inventory have correct lot numbers, if needed. · Assists in processing returned merchandise according to companies’ procedure. · Contacts resource people for various information and checks with Regulatory Manager for accuracy. · Coordinates incoming product with P&L Manager. · Ensures both Fishbowl inventory levels and physical inventory count are accurate. · Provide generated inventory control reports as requested. · Maintains organization of storage area and overstock area. · Ensure that product is placed in correct shelf designation. · Ability to assist P&L Manager on inputting UOM (units of measure) within Fishbowl inventory management system. · Assist P&L Manager and Regulatory Manager with implementation of UDI requirements to be utilized on product labels.
