Inventory Integrity Specialist
Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist will ensure the integrity of our inventory through regular auditing. They maintain warehouse functionality by assigning various warehouse support duties including assignment of the cycle counts, both in WIP and Bin stock.
Essential Functions:
- Run reports on our asset tracking software and coordinate with employees to ensure the database is updated
- Keep an accurate count of physical assets
- Collaborate cross functionally with multiple teams to track and locate various assets
- Consistently review who has assets checked out and stay on top of offboarding procedures to update the database when assets have been returned
- Tracking when assets are sold/donated/disposed of, so our information is always reflecting accurate data
- Work to update any outdated information in our asset tracker so we have more accurate insight into the assets the company owns
- Identify any areas where we are missing assets or need to source new items
- Assigns inventory cycle counts of material based on cycle count program (A, B, C).
- Investigate inventory variances for root cause.
- Implements all corrective actions
- Prepares Weekly Inventory KPI Report
- Works with all Departments to establish best methods to control WIP inventory.
- Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.
- Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items.
- Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
- Provides inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager.
- Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
- Operates forklift truck when necessary.
- Perform cycle counting of physical inventory; research and locate missing inventory. Including scheduling categories for cycle count while maintaining strict accurate records.
Routinely: Perform stock checks of physical inventory with particular emphasis on high turn items while making sure adequate inventory is available.
- Maintain training routine for other co-workers in cycle counting and inventory control procedures.
- Engages with Warehouse and Operations to ensure timely and accurate completion of all inventory transactions.
Education and Training:
- Associate Degree preferred. Background in Accounting a plus.
- Previous experience in Inventory Control is required (3 years)
- Previous cycle counting experience required
- Strong organizational and logistics skills
- Collaborative, solutions, and detail oriented
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
- SAP experience a plus
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
- Basic math skills
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
