SUMMARY
The City of Chicopee’s DPW-Water Division is hiring an Inventory Coordinator to be responsible for monitoring, ordering and maintaining Water Department equipment and parts inventory, as well as assisting with testing of meters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE


  • Monitors equipment and parts inventory for the Water Department and keeps accurate records of current inventory.
  • Orders all supplies, including office supplies, incidentals and tools for the water department.
  • Completes supply, parts and equipment and parts to complete repairs and maintenance properly.
  • Must be available for emergency work in the event of a water main, failure, not only during normal working hours but also available evenings, weekend, and holidays.
  • Perform general and routine building maintenance and custodial duties.
  • Other responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS To be minimally qualified for this position, one must meet the following criteria:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year related experience and/or Training
  • CDL Class B (Required)
  • Massachusetts Grade 2 Water Distribution License (Required)

This is a full time, 40 hour work week position with occasional overtime as needed and for emergency response.
This role is classified as Grade 9L, with a minimum starting pay of $20.46 per hour ($23.21 for a Grade 2 Water Distribution License and CDL Class B) with periodic step and pay increases upon continuous completion of employment with the City of Chicopee.
