The Technology Solutions Specialist are experts with advanced knowledge of specific discipline, focused on customer opportunities that require deep domain knowledge. They establish technical depth and expertise on Small Business advanced technical solutions. The Technology Solutions Specialist builds relationships with and educates Advisors and Account Managers on the technologies, resources, and pricing programs available to them. The Technology Solutions Specialist develops and maintains strategic relationships with Sales Management of the teams they support and seen as a trusted advisor to grow business. Key Areas of ResponsibilityTechnology Leadership - Educates Advisors, Account Managers, and customers:
- Explains features, benefits, and technical specifications of advanced products and solutions
- Explains in depth how technologies are installed and implemented for customers
- Recommend cloud and on premise options in the solutions practice
- Designs advanced solutions for primary technology products and services
- Contributes to the sales and technical team’s knowledge base and readily shares knowledge with other Technology Solutions Specialists, Advisors and Account Managers
- Alongside Small Business Sales Leadership, develops Solutions initiatives with high impact and emerging partners and technologies
- Attends mandatory partner trainings
- Attain role level certifications within their focused disciplines
Customer Facing - Discusses solutions at a conceptual level with customers and potential customers
- Explains the solutions features and benefits
- Through discovery with customers, uncovers related solutions beyond the original scope
- Explores additional opportunities through service engagements, including hosted, managed, and cloud
- Participates in CDW events on business-focused technology solution presentations for customers and prospects delivered via web-based tools (e.g., WebEx, Lync) and in person
Sales Enablement - Develops and maintains a Territory Plan; adjusts quarterly for past performance and future expectations
- Counsels Advisors and Account Managers on competitive landscape
Sales Support - Responds to requests from customers, Advisors, and Account Managers
- Tracks sales leads, manages sales pipeline from lead to closure for sales over segment threshold
- Follows up and responds to questions regarding registrations, pending deals, and escalation needs
- Registers and manages customer proposals in partner registration systems
- Creates quotes for high priority RFPs and/or assists with RFP content
- Reviews quotes and orders for accuracy
Minimum Qualifications - Current CDW S3 Coworker (for internal only applicants)
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of experience in sales and/or marketing

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers
Preferred Qualifications - 4 years experience in technology sales or pre-sales consultation
- Proven success and experience selling technologies solutions and services to small business.
