Siemens Corporation in the U.S. is looking for a Media Planner and Buyer to join its inhouse paid media team. You will support the planning, buying and execution of integrated paid media campaigns with a strong focus on digital media for the Siemens brand. The Planner will help negotiate the best media rates for the purchase of advertising space across the priority channels digital and social as well as some audio, print and out of home as needed. You will also be the primary lead in executing campaigns logistics within the paid social channels.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and execution
- Issue RFP's to partners that provide clear campaign objectives and requests best rates
- Evaluate partner proposals for content, efficiency, and unique (first to market) offerings
- Develop and define target audiences to reach with each campaign
- Develop recommendation that reflects most impactful and efficient campaign that best achieves media KPIs- incorporating fresh and new tactics when strategically sound
- Work with Ad Op Specialist to launch campaign and creative within the Google Campaign Manager with appropriate tags and coding
- Lead the implementation of paid social campaigns within each of the platforms
- Buying media
- Initiate insertion orders that include the standard Siemens T&Cs with partners to secure campaigns and placements
- Generate purchase orders within the Siemens financial process to be sent to partners confirming acceptance of the Siemens T&Cs and invoicing instructions
- Plan Maintenance
- Monitor multiple campaigns to ensure placements are tracking to achieve agreed purchased goals (e.g. IMPs, Clicks, Downloads, video views, Shares, etc.)
- Optimize campaigns and budget as needed, based on performance data
- Maintain annual flowchart to ensure campaign is executed as planned; update as needed
- Maintain budget tracking to ensure proper financial pacing of the annual investment and that spend remains within ordered PO
- Reconcile media and ensure proper and timely payment to partners coordinating with financial stakeholders
- Reporting & Wrap-up
- Work with Siemens Analytics colleagues to create a holistic view of the media performance, tying front end metrics (Google Campaign Manager) to Siemens Adobe Analytics to develop comprehensive customer journey
- Provide final campaign report and insights to inform future initiatives
Qualifications/Experience/Required Technology Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Digital Marketing/Advertising or related field
- 5+ years relevant experience in planning and purchasing paid media across digital and social media for video, display and social with an agency and/or brand (inhouse agency)
- Experience with Mediaocean’s PRISMA or similar centralized media management system across buying methodologies and channels
- Familiarity with Google’s Campaign Manager or similar tool for advertising operations and analytics; knowledge of Adobe Analytics a plus
- Experience with digital and social media buying and coordination tools (i.e. Sprinklr)
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work with DAM (Digital Asset Management) tools as needed
- Knowledge of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
- Is self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong communications skills
- Extremely detail oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize several tasks at once with tight deadlines
- Passion for operating in an accelerated, fast paced environment
- Enjoys learning new tools and technologies
- Travel to NJ office - 10% for team meetings / training (approx. once a month)
