Position requires flexibility Monday through Friday 7 am to 6 pm.
Experience with in-depth researching and reconciling general ledger accounts. Knowledge of cash handling processes preferred.
SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the IAS Manager, the IAS Reconciliation Specialist 1 is responsible for preventing loss to the organization by analysis and reconciliation of various general ledger accounts and/or demand deposit accounts on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Duties also include report preparation, research, analysis and resolution of general ledger and various system offages. The IAS Reconciliation Specialist 1 must provide prompt, friendly, and efficient service to staff in the banks as needed to resolve customer errors in a timely manner. The incumbent is responsible for analyzing a large volume of data that must be processed every day. Reconciliation and identification of outstanding reconciling items must be accomplished in an accurate and efficient manner to avoid material losses being suffered by the bank.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reconcile, analyze and review low to moderately difficult Arvest general ledger accounts to ensure that they are in balance. Determine the proper solution when errors or improper amounts are found and make necessary adjusting entries.
- Ensure that all offages are cleared in a timely manner that minimizes risk of loss to the bank and complies with audit and examiner standards.
- Complete thorough research and analysis to develop solutions to complex and non-routine reconciliation issues while taking into consideration potential impact to customers and to other departments.
- Download and compare transaction reports on a daily basis.

- Maintain a working knowledge of all account reconciliations performed within the department and serve as a back-up when others are out.
- Provide branch associate support via telephone and email. Provide direction to these associates in solving non-routine reconciliation issues, perform research and evaluate problems to determine best course of resolution.
- Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant work experience required
- Thorough understanding of accounting concepts and principles, bank operations and procedures required.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
